On August 30th, Game On was honored to be invited by Siu Sai Wan YMCA to participate in their Fun Fun Day event. We set up a game booth called "Basketball-Teen" where the residents of Siu Sai Wan could come together and enjoy the fun of games.
In the afternoon, the residents flocked to the venue eagerly awaiting the start of the event. Our booth featured three rows of ice cream cones, creating a unique game area. The rules of the game were simple: participants had to tap the basketball with their hands, following an S-shaped path along the ice cream cones, reach the front position, and then grab a flying disc. The participant who completed the task and grabbed three flying discs in the fastest time would receive 3 points, the second-place would receive 2 points, and the third-place would receive 1 point.
This game not only attracted the attention of children but also got adults involved. They laughed and enthusiastically tapped the basketball, challenging their own balance abilities. The whole venue was filled with joy and a competitive atmosphere, and everyone fully immersed themselves in the enjoyment of the game.
The event was filled with laughter and applause. Whenever someone successfully grabbed a flying disc and completed the task, the audience would cheer them on and share in their joy of success. Even if they didn't win the first place, every participant could still find satisfaction because they dared to challenge themselves and enjoyed the process of the game.
Participating in the Fun Fun Day event at Siu Sai Wan YMCA was an unforgettable experience for us. We not only introduced basketball to the children but also brought the joy of sports games to the residents.
